Time: A Terrible Thing To Waste

Ever had one of those days where you feel as if it's one step forward, two steps back? (Well, haven't we all really?!) What can you do? It's all about time and how you manage it, and that's something that doesn't come naturally to most of us. It truly is a learned trait.

There are several easy solutions to our time (or lack of it) issues.

  1. SET GOALS: These can be little or big things, physical or emotional things, or just things that you need to do.
  2. WRITE THEM DOWN: PDA, computer, or old-fashioned pen and paper will do and don't be afraid to amend it as needed.
  3. PRIORITIZE: What is most important? What tasks need to be completed by certain times?
  4. DON'T BE AFRAID TO SAY NO! All too often we feel that denying someone something they want of us will somehow diminish us in their eyes. We say yes, yes, yes, and soon our time is all gone.
  5. CROSS IT OFF: As you complete your goals or tasks, definitely remove them. Seeing that list with all those things marked off can give you a real sense of accomplishment.

Whether you're a soccer mom, business professional or just feeling scattered, you can benefit from those 5 simple steps.
